Master Classes

The HR Club Master Classes are special sessions where human resources professionals have the opportunity to meet renowned international professors and consultants. The first two sessions took place in 2009 and were given by Dave Ulrich, University of Michigan and Paul Evans, Insead. The Master Class series continued with Zoltan Buzady, CEU Business School; Maury Peiperl, IMD Lausanne; Ken Harmon, Kennesaw State University, USA, and in 2014, Ronald Michael Bradfield, Strathclyde Business School. In 2015, the speakers were John Parr, one of the 3 Master trainers and PCM internationally certified coaches, and Daniel Pink, the number 1 thinker in top Thinkers50. Dave Ulrich came back to Bucharest in 2016 for a third Master Class dedicated to the HR Club members, and, later that year, we welcomed Hal Gregersen, executive director of MIT Leadership Center. In 2017, Lynda Gratton, the coordinator of the most valuable human resources program in the world, at London Business School, came to Bucharest for the first time to hold the Master Class "Future of Work and Future of HR". Also in in 2017, Isaac Getz, professor at ESCP Europe Business School, gave the Master Class "How to Transform Your Organization into a Liberated Company", while Erin Meyer, professor at INSEAD, talked about "Leading Across Borders and Cultures". The most recent Master Class took place in April 2018, held by Gianpiero Petriglieri, professor INSEAD included in top Thinkers50, on the subject "Competence Is Not Enough: Developing Trustworthy Leaders in the Age of Nomadic Professionalism".
