Happy@Work Conference by HR Club

They say that in order to be truly happy you need 3 things: to love, to do something meaningful, and to have something to hope for. Happy @Work Conference comes up with something from each category:

Happy People

In order to care for others, you must first care for yourself and love yourself. Silje Løkeng - Head of Wellbeing with TechnipFMC (Norvegia) will share her personal story: what changes she made in her life to improve her physical and mental state after being diagnosed with cancer, how she decided to change, and how she is taking care of herself now. Her professional story is equally "wow": Which is the place and the role of the wellbeing department in the organization, how they build and monitor the wellbeing plan for the company employees, how they take care of each one.

Happy People/Happy Organizations – Panel Discussions

Sustainable development is the path towards the future we want for everybody. It offers us the framework to generate economic growth, to achieve social justice, to manage the environment, and to strengthen governance within organizations. There has been increasingly frequent talk about ESG (Enviroment, Social, Governance), sustainability KPIs of the organization. What is HR's role in the sustainable development of the organization?

We will talk with Mihai Purcarea - President & CEO, BRD Asset Management, Iuliana Stan - Managing Partner, Human Synergistics Romania and Steven D'Souza - Senior Client Partner, Korn Ferry (UK).

"How to" Masterclasses

Lately, HR Club community conversations have frequently touched on topics such as: „We have some wellbeing actions in place, but I would like to build a strategy” or „We believe in DE&I, we do some things, but I don't know where to begin to achieve something impactful”. Our 2 masterclasses were designed as an answer to these concerns of HR professionals who want their organization to have social impact. More details in the left menu, the Special session tab.

How the Future Works

Peter Drucker said: The best way to predict the future is to create it.

In the closing session of Happy @Work Conference we will look towards the future. We already know that the future of work is hybrid. How we can build a suitable hybrid model for our organization we will find out from Nick South - Senior Partner & Managing Director, Boston Consulting Group (UK). He will also present the results of the BSG survey "Future of Work" 2022, with it conclusions focused on Romania.

Sustainable development is the path towards the future we want for everybody. There has been increasingly frequent talk about ESG (Enviroment, Social, Governance), sustainability KPIs of the organization. What is HR's role in the sustainable development of the organization? We will find out more from Mihai Purcarea, President and CEO of General al BRD Asset Management, ESG certified.

Organizational culture reflected through employee experience is, according to the World Economic Forum, an important factor in all the 3 ESG pillars. We will find out for the first time from Iuliana Stan, Managing Partner Human Synergistics, some of the conclusions of the Human Synergistcs National Research about 2021 organizational culture in Romania, and its evolution over the last challenging decade.

In 2020 and 2021 many organizations promissed to place DE&I on top of their priority list. But are significant steps forward actually being taken? Korn Ferry asked 4,496 business leaders across 97 countries about a range of issues relating to DE&I; their organizational challenges, their DE&I practices, their talent processes and more. They supplemented this data with insights from Korn Ferry’s employee opinion database, which contains views from 1.7m employees across 50+ countries and 90+ organizations. The results gave them a clear picture of general trends and how well the corporate world is progressing on their DE&I journey. Steven D'Souza, Senior Client Partner Korn Ferry (London) will present these results.
