HR Club opens the first regional office in Cluj-Napoca
By HR CLUB on 10 October 2016
HR Club is opening a regional office in Cluj-Napoca, following the request of the HR community in the region. After 12 years of existence, HR Club makes the first significant move outside Bucharest, wanting to continue the mission of the association to promote best practices in the HR field, by organizing formal and informal meetings that meet the needs of human resources professionals in the central and north-western region of the country.
HR Club plans to firstly identify the development needs and interests of the HR community in Cluj and then to organize meetings and events on the topics of interest for the new community. The format is open and new initiatives from those who want to get involved are welcome. HR managers that work for companies with offices in Cluj will be invited to best practice seminars on the various areas of HR. They will have the opportunity to learn from their colleagues who implemented the projects that participated at the HR Excellence Awards Gala, organized each year by HR Club to award the best HR projects implemented in the previous year.
HR Club will organize practice communities where HR specialists in certain industries can meet to exchange information on activities and procedures that might help to achieve a higher performance in organizations and their departments or simply receive help and advice for the situations they face.
"We were happy to find in Cluj a community of professionals concerned with personal and professional development who want to implement in their organizations modern and efficient practices in the field, be it recruitment, training, performance management or HR strategy. HR Club Cluj-Napoca will be the place where they will always be welcome to meet and share situations they face in their department or organization. Anca Toma, our new community manager based in Cluj, will provide support to all persons interested in the work of HR Club and will help us expand the benefits of our members in Bucharest to those in Cluj." says Dana Cavaleru, Executive Director HR Club.
HR Club has always kept a special relationship with the HR professionals from Cluj, organizing in the past regional meetings there, live broadcasts of the annual conference taking place in Bucharest, preparing students from Cluj who attended the HR Club Next Generation Summer School, a two weeks event dedicated to the next generation of HR Professionals and, most recently, through the involvement of local specialists in the creation of the first Romanian certification system in HR. Moreover, the longest volunteering member of the HR Club Board of Directors is Florin Petean, operating in Cluj-Napoca.
The official launch of the new office took place on October 6th at the “Power trough People” Conference, organized by the Centre for Management Development (CDM), an event dedicated to the local community of HR specialists.
