Acest articol abordeaza problema absentei angajatilor de la locul de munca, incercand sa gaseasca cele mai bune solutii pentru masurarea si combaterea acesteia. El argumenteaza mai intai importanta acestui aspect pentru performanta organizationala, identifica tipurile diferite de absente, principalele metode de masurare si monitorizare a absentelor, ce ar trebui sa contina politicile din domeniu, precum si care sunt principiile de care ar trebui sa tina cont managementul absentelor pe termen scurt si lung. Nu in ultimul rand, prezinta cateva consideratii legale si punctul de vedere al CIPD.
