Protection of employees in the event of the insolvency of their employer

Aceasta Directiva a Consiliului European vizeaza protectia salariatilor in caz de insolvabilitate a companiei angajatoare. Principalul scop il reprezinta garantarea platii creantelor salariale restante catre angajati in caz de insolvabilitate a angajatorului lor. Ea solicita din partea statelor membre sa stabileasca o institutie pentru a garanta efectuarea acestor plati. De asemenea, stabileste proceduri care se aplica atunci cand un angajator cu mai multe filiale la nivel international devine insolvabil.
