HR Breakfast "Future business challenges in management development needs; answers on the critics of today’s management education"
The lecture "Future business challenges in management development needs; answers on the critics of today’s management education" will be presented by Prof. Danica Purg, the Dean and the President of the IEDC-Bled School of Management, Slovenia, who will highlight the findings of a recently conducted large research on the business challenges faced by the business sector and its respective management and leadership, as well as the experience with education providers and offerings so far and mistakes business schools make in their executive education programs. The research was conducted in 11 countries (Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, and Ukraine) where more than 200 in-depth interviews with CEOs and HRMs were conducted.
The lecture will be followed by an interactive discussion with participants of the HR Breakfast on the realities of different companies and industries.

Professor Danica Purg is the President of the IEDC-Bled School of Management, Slovenia, and the President of CEEMAN, the international association for management development in dynamic societies, which brings together 200 management development institutions from 50 countries. She also leads the European Leadership Centre (ELC).
Prof. Purg is professor of leadership and effective management at the IEDC-Bled School of Management. Her special field of interest is looking for inspirations for managers from art and other professions. In 2010, Prof. Purg received the 2010 International Educator of the Year Award by the Academy of International Business (AIB) for her outstanding achievements in international business education.
She authored and co-authored several books and numerous articles on leadership issues.
