HR Excellence Awards Gala 2019

The 11th edition of the HR Excellence Awards Gala will take place on March 27th, 2019 in Bucharest, at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel.

We continue to offer different awards related to the size of the organization on every HR projects category. Therefore, we will award companies with a maximum of 499 employees and companies with over 500 employees. We wish to recognize not only the large organizations with complex HR processes, but also the projects implemented in smaller companies that have a proven impact in the business.

Please find below the categories we will award this year: 4 categories of HR projects and 3 categories for General Management. You can find a detailed description of the categories and the application form in the Applicant Guide [available only in Romanian].

HR Projects categories in 2019

1. Recruitment and Selection – includes projects on recruitment, internship, induction etc.
2. Reward and Performance Management – includes projects on performance evaluation, payroll, job grading etc.
3. Learning and Development – includes projects on training, coaching, mentoring, career plans, talent management, succession planning etc.
4. HR Strategy – includes projects on HR – strategic partner, employer branding, engagement, organizational design, cultural change, social dialogue etc.


Generation Z Special Prize: will be awarded by a jury formed of young students who distinguished themselves through extracurricular activities, leadership abilities and an interest in the organizational sphere.

General Management categories:

1. Manager of the Year
2. CEO – HR Team of the Year – companies with less than 499 employees 
3. CEO – HR Team of the Year – companies with over 500 employees

Although People Analytics has become increasingly mainstream over the past three to four years, many Senior General Managers (SGMs) question how much business value it is really adding.

The fact of the matter is that while some People Analytics techniques like reporting and visualization are essential for meeting an organization’s statutory requirements and guiding operational workforce decisions (such as recruitment and attrition management), they are often less useful for helping SGMs with strategic and commercial decisions because of their focus on tactical non-strategic outcomes.

This workshop offers a fresh perspective on People Analytics by starting with the strategic requirements of SGMs and sharing a model which cascades these to the HR, line and financial functions.

About the Master Class 

Specifically, this interactive workshop will use case studies to describe:

  • The process used by SGMs to allocate limited funds between competing investments such as human capital, robotics & automation
  • Techniques for using People Analytics to highlight the value added by HR
  • A model for linking people processes with strategic and business outcomes
  • The design People Analytics projects which meet the needs of HR Professionals, Senior General Managers, and Line Managers.
