People first. When dealing with many simultaneous challenges ( pandemic, global M&A, merger of 2 clusters) we wanted to be sure we are properly rewarding our people and in the same time maintain the focus on the areas critical for our business.
In January 2020, Avon officialy became part of Natura&Co family triggering a global strategy turnaround; early in March we stared the merger of 2 local hubs into a new cluster (11 markets, 1200 employees and $200mil turnover) and last, but not least, pandemic started and impacted our whole world.
In such a context, it was critical that we keep momentum, inspiring the new/adapted desired mindset, raising engagement and inspiring focus on the critical areas. One of the pillars of our strategy was to fastly launch a recognition program that was designed to address these.
Also, when you take care of such a purpose driven lovebrand like Avon, one that has as main mission to improve other ones lives, HR is not just a pillar to build organisational structures, but a brand ambassador and a purpose advocate focused on cultivating the spirit of a powerful community.
